• Beschreibung: Normethadone hydrochloride is a potent analgesic that is used to treat moderate to severe pain. Normethadone hydrochloride has a terminal half-life of about 7 hours and can be administered orally, intravenously, or intramuscularly. Normethadone hydrochloride binds to membrane receptors and inhibits the release of norepinephrine from sympathetic neurons. It also blocks the binding of norepinephrine to adrenergic receptors, which may have anti-inflammatory properties.
