• Beschreibung: 2-Nitromesitylene is a nitro compound that is reactive with diazonium salts and hydrochloric acid. It has been shown to have the potential to produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) like superoxide and hydroxyl radicals. 2-Nitromesitylene has been shown to inhibit the production of TNF-α in mice. This chemical also produces redox potentials, which are measured in millivolts, and is used as a kinetic data for reaction solutions. 2-Nitromesitylene can be synthesized by reacting trifluoroacetic acid with an inorganic acid and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy can be used to measure the electron transfer reactions of this chemical. The x-ray crystal structures of 2-nitromesitylene show that it binds to the active site of autoimmune diseases enzymes such as acetylcholinesterase and carboxypeptidase A2, inhibiting their activity.
