Beschreibung

3-(1-Naphthyl)-D-alanine is a potent opioid antagonist that binds to the μ-opioid receptor and blocks its activation. 3-(1-Naphthyl)-D-alanine has been shown to be a potent antagonist against the μ-opioid receptor in animals. It also inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandin E2 and nitric oxide, which are substances that increase blood pressure and stimulate airway smooth muscle contraction. 3-(1-Naphthyl)-D-alanine has been used in functional assays and has been shown to inhibit the binding of opioids to their receptors in humans.
