Neferine is a natural compound that has shown significant cytotoxicity and apoptosis pathway inhibition in various cancer cells. Neferine is extracted from angelica dahurica and purified by chromatography. It was found to have significant inhibitory effects on the polymerase chain reaction in vitro, inhibiting DNA synthesis in both human and mouse cells.
