• Beschreibung: 2-(2,3-Naphthalimino)ethyl trifluoromethanesulfonate (2NTF) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that acts by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase. It is used as a sample preparation agent for epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs). 2NTF is applied to a hydrophilic interaction chromatography column and then eluted with caproic acid, which selectively binds to the fatty acid component of EETs. The eluate can then be analyzed using a fluorescence detector and chromatographic methods. 2NTF has been shown to have no effect on carnitine levels in human serum.
