Norkurarinone is a natural compound that inhibits the growth of bacteria. It has been shown to inhibit the production of inflammatory mediators, such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, in vitro. Norkurarinone has also been shown to be effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as yeast. The optimum concentration for inhibition is 0.3 μg/mL.
