The inhibition of this enzyme prevents fibrinolysis and leads to an increase in blood pressure. This drug also stabilizes the extracellular matrix by inhibiting the action of enzymes such as collagenase or elastase. 1,2,4-Oxadiazol-3-amine has been shown to be thermally stable at temperatures up to 300°C and crystallographically stable from -80°C to 200°C.
