3-[(1S,2S,5R)-7-Oxo-3-thia-6,8-diazabicyclo[3.3.0]oct-2-yl]propanoic acid is a fluorescence detector that can be used to detect the presence of biotin in urine or other biological samples. It has been shown to bind with high affinity and specificity to bisnorbiotin, an analog of biotin. 3-[(1S,2S,5R)-7-Oxo-3-thia-6,8-diazabicyclo[3.3.0]oct-2-yl]propanoic acid is a pharmacologic agent that has been shown to inhibit human serum albumin polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification in vitro and in vivo.
