Beschreibung:
Octahydro-2H-chromen-2-one is a coumarin derivative that has been found to have anti-aging effects. It also has a deodorizing effect, which is due to its ability to remove formaldehyde and other volatile organic compounds. Octahydro-2H-chromen-2-one has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which is an opportunistic pathogen that causes pneumonia in people with cystic fibrosis. The mechanism of this inhibition is not clear but may be related to crosslinking reactions with DNA or protein synthesis.
