Beschreibung:Oxalyl chloride is an organic compound that inhibits enzymes whose active site contains a carbonyl group. It is used as an antimicrobial agent in the treatment of bacterial infections, such as urinary tract and respiratory tract infections, and in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. Oxalyl chloride reacts with diethyl ketomalonate to form oxalyl diethyl ketomalonate, which then undergoes a chemiluminescent reaction with malonic acid. This product has potent antitumor activity and can be used to treat human serum.
