Beschreibung

11-Oxo etiocholanolone-d4 is a metabolite of testosterone that can be found in the urine. It is used as a dietary supplement for animal health, and has been shown to be effective against experimental infection in a rat model. 11-Oxo etiocholanolone-d4 blocks the production of cortisol by inhibiting an enzyme called 11βHSD2. It also has immunosuppressive effects which may lead to decreased inflammation and enhanced wound healing. The compound is not active against bacteria, but it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activities in women with urinary tract infections.
