• Beschreibung: Olpadronic acid is a pharmacological agent that inhibits the activity of specific enzymes, such as alkaline phosphatase and osteopontin. It has been shown to inhibit prostate cancer cells, by targeting intracellular targets such as cytosolic calcium and bone-specific alkaline phosphatase. Olpadronic acid has also been found to be effective against infectious diseases, including malaria and tuberculosis. It is used in experimental models for the treatment of bone cancer and other diseases. The monosodium salt form of olpadronic acid has been shown to have an effect on dextran sulfate production, which may be related to its ability to inhibit enzymes involved in the synthesis of this molecule.
