Beschreibung

Oxalacetic acid diethyl ester sodium salt is an alkynyl-containing compound that has been shown to have cytotoxic activity in vitro. It binds to the benzodiazepine receptor, a class of proteins located on the outer surface of cells, and inhibits the binding of nitro compounds. This inhibition leads to a decrease in the production of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Oxalacetic acid diethyl ester sodium salt also inhibits HIV infection by inhibiting viral DNA synthesis and protein synthesis. The compound may also be useful for treating cancer, autoimmune diseases, and inflammatory diseases such as asthma because of its ability to inhibit cell proliferation.
