Beschreibung

3-Piperidin-1-ylpropan-1-amine is a synthetic drug that has been shown to have chemokine receptor activity in vitro. It is a 5-HT receptor agonist and has been shown to be active against cancer cells in culture. The vibrational spectra of 3-piperidin-1-ylpropan-1-amine show that the molecule contains a dihedral angle, which may indicate the presence of a heterocycle. 3PIPPA binds to the 5HT4 receptor subtype and has been shown to have prostate cancer cell growth inhibition properties. The hydroxy group on the piperidine ring may make this compound more susceptible to chemical reactions with other molecules, such as oxidizing agents or reductive agents.
