Beschreibung

2-Pyridylacetic acid HCl is a chemical compound that modulates the activity of the CCR5 receptor. It is a quinoline derivative with a redox potential of -0.8 V, which distinguishes it from other quinoline derivatives. 2-Pyridylacetic acid HCl has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis in human cells and can be used as a diagnostic agent for eye disorders and as a therapeutic for metabolic disorders and cancer. 2-Pyridylacetic acid HCl may also be useful in the treatment of dopamine-related diseases such as Parkinson's disease and schizophrenia, due to its ability to inhibit the lysosomal protease Lp-pla2 activity.
