Beschreibung:Pterostilbene is a derivative of trans-stilbene and structurally similar to resveratrol, with two methoxy groups instead of two hydroxy groups. Pterostilbene is found in almonds, some berries and Pterocarpus marsupium heartwood and it is a strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory used in therapeutics against neurological diseases. The bioavailability of pterostilbene is higher, and thus, as its analogue resveratrol, has been studied as a potential inhibitor for the in vitro SARS-CoV-2 replication.
