Beschreibung

Poloxamer 268 is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the class of glycol ethers. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on matrix metalloproteinases, which are enzymes that degrade extracellular matrix components. The antimicrobial activity of Poloxamer 268 has been demonstrated in vitro and in vivo. In one study, it was found that Poloxamer 268 had a protective effect against skin cancer cells, with no toxic effects on other skin cells. In another study, it was found to be effective against microbial infection and myocardial infarcts in rats. The receptor binding property of Poloxamer 268 has also been studied using tryptophan fluorescence spectroscopy and anti-PCSK9 antibody binding studies. Poloxamer 268 has been shown to bind to the fatty acid receptor GPR120 and activate peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPAR)α and PPARγ, which regulate lipid metabolism
