Beschreibung

Potassium triisopropoxyborohydride (K-iPr-BH) is a synthetic chemical compound that inhibits the reaction of hydroxyl groups with carbonyl groups in coumarin derivatives. It has shown an inhibitory effect on the synthesis of DNA in cancer cells and is used as a diagnostic tool for detecting cancerous cells. K-iPr-BH reacts with the nitrogen atoms in streptavidin to form a stable product, which can then be detected by various methods. The reaction products are characterized by their functional groups, such as hydroxyl, carbonyl, and methyl nicotinate. This reagent also has an inhibitory effect on the reaction between amines and nitroso compounds.
