Beschreibung

Bis(2R,5R)-1,2-bis(2,5-diisopropylphospholan-1-yl)benzene is a five-membered phosphine. It is chiral and can be obtained in crystalline form. It forms stable complexes with chloride ions and protonated ligands. Bis(2R,5R)-1,2-bis(2,5-diisopropylphospholan-1-yl)benzene reacts with diphosphines to form bis(diphosphine) ligand complexes that catalyze the hydrosilylation of olefins. This compound also reacts with unsymmetrical alkenes to produce chelate rings that are insoluble in organic solvents.
