Gel permeation chromatography showed that 2-propyn-1-yl cyclopentane is composed of carbohydrates, tannins and primary amines.2-Propyn-1-yl cyclopentane also has a hydroxyl group, which can be used for hydrosilylation reactions with flavonoids and amines.
