Beschreibung

Phenylglycine ethyl ester hydrochloride is an ester of phenylglycine and ethyl alcohol. It has been shown to inhibit the enzyme cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase, which is involved in the production of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). This inhibition may be useful for the treatment of metabolic disorders and inflammatory bowel disease. Phenylglycine ethyl ester hydrochloride also has anti-viral activity against HIV-1, herpes simplex virus type 2, and influenza A.
