Beschreibung

Perfluorodecalin is a fluorocarbon that has been used to study the phenomenon of constant pressure, which is characterized by an increase in the activity of enzymes. It has been shown that perfluorodecalin enhances the activities of some enzymes, such as those involved in hydrogen fluoride metabolism and lipid peroxidation. Perfluorodecalin is also used to study oxygenated compounds and energy metabolism, as well as for sample preparation and histological analysis.
The chemical stability of perfluorodecalin has been investigated using rat liver microsomes. Perfluorodecalin was found to be stable at room temperature and in simulated gastric fluid.
