Beschreibung

3-Phthalimidopropionic acid is a ligand that binds to the Mg ion. It is reactive and can form dimers in the presence of methoxy groups. This compound has been shown to have dose-dependent effects on the coordination geometry and molecular orbitals of magnesium ions. 3-Phthalimidopropionic acid has been shown to be luminescent under irradiation, which may be due to its ability to absorb energy from light sources such as ultraviolet light or X-rays, converting it into visible light. 3-Phthalimidopropionic acid has antiinflammatory activity and antinociceptive properties, which may be due to its ability to enhance the effects of acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen.
