Produktinformation
Phe-Leu-Arg-Phe amide is a synthetic peptide that acts on the glutamate receptor to reduce excitatory neurotransmission. It has been shown to be effective in reducing the number of spontaneous and evoked synaptic responses in neonatal rats, as well as decreasing the number of activated synapses and integrating circuits. Phe-Leu-Arg-Phe amide also caused apoptosis in cultured astrocytes, but not neurons. This drug may be a potential treatment for neuroblastoma, epilepsy, and other disorders related to excitatory neurotransmission.
