Beschreibung

The Z-L-phenylalanine N-hydroxysuccinimide ester is an organocatalytic agent that is used to introduce a silyl group. It reacts with amines to form chloroformates and catalyzes the reaction between carbonyl groups and amides, which are used in peptide synthesis. The Z-L-phenylalanine N-hydroxysuccinimide ester stabilizes the carbonyl group during dehydration of the hydroxyl group, preventing it from forming a stable ketone or enol. This process is catalysed by amines, which react with the carboxylic acid to produce an amide.
