Beschreibung

1H-Pyrazolo[3,4-c]pyridine is a potent inhibitor of the ATP binding site in the ATP synthase. It has been shown to inhibit cellular proliferation and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. 1H-Pyrazolo[3,4-c]pyridine binds to and inhibits the activity of Pim-1 kinase. This compound has been shown to be effective against two isoforms of Pim-1 kinase: pim-1A and pim-1B. Substitution of groups on the piperidine ring or at position 3 leads to increased potency against both isoforms, but with different affinities. Evaluation of this compound's effect on tumor growth is ongoing.
