Produktinformation
- 5-(Pyridin-4-Yl)-1,3,4-Oxadiazole-2-Thiol
5-(4-Pyridyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thiol (5OPOT) is a coordination compound with the molecular formula C6H6N2S. 5OPOT has been synthesised by reacting 3-chloro-5-(4-pyridyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (1) with dimethyl sulfide in the presence of potassium tert butoxide. The reaction produces a yellow solid that was identified as 5OPOT by XRD and NMR analysis. The structure of 5OPOT was determined to be an oxadiazole derivative with a thiolate group acting as the donor ligand and a pyridine ring acting as the acceptor ligand. This coordination compound is structurally related to other oxadiazoles such as 2-(2'-methylpropyl)thiophene and 1,3,5-tris(methylsulfonyl)
