The protonated form of this compound has been found to be insoluble in most common solvents. Perfluoro-(4-methyl-3,6-dioxaoct-7-ene)sulfonyl fluoride has been shown to have high uptake after exposure to ionizing radiation, which may be due to its hydrophobic properties.
