Beschreibung

1h-Pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-4-thiol is a drug that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. It inhibits the release of proinflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6. The mechanism of action of 1h-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-4-thiol is not well understood but it may involve inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins or leukotrienes. This compound also has antiinflammatory properties and has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cells from patients with autoimmune diseases. 1h-Pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-4thiol binds to adenine nucleotide and prevents its conversion into ATP. This binding also inhibits the formation of pyrazole tautomers and prevents their conversion into reactive intermediates that can cause damage to tissues (
