Beschreibung

Phenyltrichlorosilane is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of silanes. It is a colorless liquid with a pungent smell. Phenyltrichlorosilane has been used in the manufacture of other chemicals, but it is primarily used as an additive in the production of ethylene diamine and sodium citrate. Phenyltrichlorosilane can be used as a catalyst for solid phase microextraction, which is an analytical method for analyzing organic compounds in water vapor. Phenyltrichlorosilane has excellent chemical stability and transport properties, as well as being resistant to hydrolysis from basic conditions and oxidation by oxygen.
