Beschreibung:
4-(N-Piperazinyl)benzonitrile is a hydrogenated form of 4-(N-piperazinyl)phenylacetonitrile. It has been shown to be an orally active drug with antidepressant activity. 4-(N-Piperazinyl)benzonitrile has been shown to inhibit the growth of leishmania amastigotes, which are parasites that can cause leishmaniasis in humans. The mode of action is not known, but it may be due to the inhibition of dehydrogenase and profiles or conjugates.
