• Beschreibung: Phloroacetophenone trimethyl ether is a reactive and inhibitory chemical that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity in animal models. It also inhibits the reaction of chloroacetophenone with chloride ions, which results in the formation of an intermediate that is reactive enough to attack the a-ring of phenylhydrazone. This mechanism is similar to the reaction of ochratoxin A, a mycotoxin that can cause cancer and metabolic disorders. Phloroacetophenone trimethyl ether has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against cancer cells and can be used as a precursor for other compounds. The x-ray diffraction data shows that it forms a dimer when dissolved in water. The nmr spectra show two methyl groups and one hydrogen atom on each molecule.
