This compound can be used to synthesize beta-amyloid peptides from the amino acid sequence of bovine serum albumin. The structure of the final product has been confirmed by NMR spectra and mass spectrometry. The final product was obtained by using trifluoromethanesulfonic acid as an acid catalyst and chloride as a base to form the amide from two molecules of beta-amyloid peptide.
