Beschreibung

Perfluoroheptene-1 is a perfluorinated molecule with electrons that can be transferred to other molecules. This reaction product has been shown to induce cancer in laboratory animals, and is also suspected of being an endocrine disruptor. Perfluoroheptene-1 is used as a heat transfer fluid in some refrigerators and air conditioners. It has also been found to be an additive in paints and coatings, as well as a chemical reactant in the production of fluoropolymers such as Teflon and Gore-Tex. In addition, it has been used for radiation detection and analysis, as well as for the synthesis of Grignard reagents. Grignard reagents are commonly used in organic synthesis reactions due to their ability to form carbon-carbon bonds with a variety of functional groups.
