Perfluorotetradecane is a hydrocarbon that is used in the diagnosis of various diseases, such as fatty acid metabolism disorders, by measuring its concentration in human serum. It has also been used as an analytical method to measure the concentration of phosphorus pentachloride in environmental samples and to determine oxygen transport properties.
