Beschreibung:
(Perfluorobutyl)tetrahydrofuran is a fluorinated phosphazene that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of hypoxia-induced lung injury. It is also used as a polymer film for drug delivery and as a coating on medical devices to prevent blood clotting. This compound has been shown to increase the rate of protein synthesis in animals, but its clinical relevance is unknown. (Perfluorobutyl)tetrahydrofuran has also been shown to have an effect on fertility and fetal heart rate in rats, which may be due to its ability to bind with fatty acids or divalent hydrocarbons.
