Beschreibung

H-D-Phe-Pro-OH Trifluoroacetate Salt is a potent inhibitor of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 protease and has been shown to inhibit the activity of other proteases, such as those involved in degenerative diseases. It has also been shown to have antimicrobial activity against gram-positive bacteria and fungi. H-D-Phe-Pro-OH Trifluoroacetate Salt has been shown to be a selective inhibitor of HIV type 1 protease, with high potency and selectivity for this enzyme. H-D-Phe-Pro-OH Trifluoroacetate Salt binds reversibly to the active site of HIV type 1 protease by means of hydrogen bonds. The inhibition constant (Ki) value for H-D-Phe Pro OH Trifluoroacetate Salt is 0.06 μM.
