Beschreibung:
Quinaprilat is a prodrug that is metabolized to its active form, quinapril. It is used to treat heart disease, including congestive heart failure. Quinaprilat binds to the papillary muscle and prevents the contraction of this muscle, which causes an increase in blood pressure. Quinaprilat also has an anti-inflammatory effect, which may be due to its ability to inhibit PCSK9 production.
