Qingyangshengenin is a natural product that has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of human osteosarcoma cells and induce apoptosis in these cells. It is believed to exert its effects by suppressing the energy metabolism and inhibiting transcriptional regulation of pro-apoptotic proteins. Qingyangshengenin also has anti-microbial activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit microbial growth through inhibition of bacterial transcription and translation. This natural product has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, as it inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines such as growth factor-β1 and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α).
