Tetrakis[N-phthaloyl-(R)-tert-leucinato]dirhodium Bis(ethyl Acetate) Adduct (TPDE) is a chiral catalyst that is used in preparative methods to catalyze the intramolecular cycloaddition of hydrocarbons. It has been shown to be stable and soluble in organic solvents. TPDE can be prepared by combining tetraacetate and dichloromethane. This reaction generates a crystalline product, which is purified by recrystallization from ethyl acetate.
