Beschreibung

[R-(R*,R*)]-4-{2-[2-(2,4-Difluorophenyl)-2-hydroxy-1-methyl-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-propyl]-4-thiazolyl}benzonitrile is an experimental drug that has been shown to have antimicrobial activity. It inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to the enzyme DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which are enzymes that maintain the integrity of bacterial DNA. This drug also binds to inhibitor molecules in vitro and inhibits the growth of fungi such as C. glabrata. The mechanism by which this drug exerts its antimicrobial effects is not fully understood.
