• Beschreibung: Rafametinib is a drug that inhibits the activity of protein kinase C. It has been shown to inhibit the production of chemoattractant proteins such as IL-8 and VEGF in chronic oral models, suggesting that it may be useful for eye disorders and cancer. Rafametinib also binds to the ATP-binding site of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor 1, preventing TNF binding and inhibiting downstream signaling pathways, which may be involved in cancer. The drug has been shown to inhibit influenza A virus infection in vitro and in vivo models. Rafametinib is also an inhibitor of human serum albumin, which may lead to complications during pandemic influenza outbreaks.
