Beschreibung:
Rosiptor is a pyrimidine compound with pharmacological activity against inflammatory diseases. Rosiptor binds to the amide and pyrimidine binding sites of the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and blocks the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are involved in the pathogenesis of inflammatory skin diseases. Rosiptor has been shown to have potent inhibitory activity on COX-2, with a half-life of 8 hours in CD-1 mice. The terminal half-life of this drug in women is not yet known.
