• Beschreibung: Rac-Mono(3,5,5-trimethylhexyl) phthalate (rac-MEP) is a metabolite of Monoethyl phthalate (MEHP). It can be found in urine and is used as a biomarker for exposure to MEHP. Rac-MEP is extracted from the samples using solid phase extraction. This technique separates rac-MEP from other interfering compounds by adsorbing it onto an inert solid matrix. The sample is then injected into a gas chromatograph with a mass spectrometer detector. The column used for this analysis has been optimized to produce the best separation of rac-MEP and monoethyl phthalate monoesters.
