Beschreibung

Swertiajaponin is a natural compound found in the genus Swertia. It has been shown to have anti-viral, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory activities. Swertiajaponin can be extracted from the etoac extract of human feces. The bioactivity of swertiajaponin is mainly due to its caffeic acid content. Swertiajaponin has been shown to inhibit syncytial virus infection in cells by interfering with signal pathways that activate transcription factors and also by affecting surface methodology. When exposed to oxidative injury, swertiajaponin inhibits lipid peroxidation and reduces DNA damage.
