Suberic anhydride is a polycarboxylic acid that has been found to be useful in the service industry. It is used as a surface treatment for fatty acids and particles, such as friedel-crafts reaction, sample preparation, diameter and profile. Suberic anhydride is also used in the production of polybasic compounds with hydroxyl groups that are degradable. Suberic anhydride is estrogen receptor modulators and can be used in cancer treatments. It has a molecular weight of 130.2 g/mol and a molecular formula of C10H22O8. The chemical formula shows that it contains 10 carbon atoms, 22 hydrogen atoms, 8 oxygen atoms, and no nitrogen or sulfur atoms. It has a melting point of 114°C (237°F) and a boiling point of 337°C (631°F).
