Sodium p-toluenesulfonate is a chemical compound that is used as an additive for industrial and household cleaning products. It has minimal toxicity and is compatible with most chemicals, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications. Sodium p-toluenesulfonate can be used in wastewater treatment because of its ability to reduce the concentration of benzalkonium chloride and sodium citrate, which are common components of industrial detergents.
