Scandium nitrate pentahydrate is a chemical compound that is used in analytical chemistry. It has a particle size of less than 1 micron and an x-ray crystal structure that is characterized by the presence of two crystallographically different scandium ions. Scandium nitrate pentahydrate is thermally stable at high temperatures and has a high resistance to chemical reactions, such as transfer reactions and metal hydroxides.
