• Beschreibung: Sonepiprazole is a dopamine D4 receptor partial agonist that has been shown to be effective in treating depression in animal models. It has been found to increase the production of neurotrophic factors, such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and nerve growth factor (NGF). Sonepiprazole binds to 5-HT7 receptors and d4 receptors, which are located on the surface of neurons. This binding prevents the reuptake of dopamine and increases the level of dopamine in the caudate putamen, which is a region of the brain associated with mood regulation. Sonepiprazole has not been found to have any health effects in wild-type mice or humans.
