Beschreibung

Sulbactam sodium is an antibacterial agent that inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls by binding to the penicillin-binding proteins in the bacterial cell wall. Sulbactam sodium has been shown to be effective against a wide range of bacteria, including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, with minimal toxicity. This drug also has a long duration of action and can be administered orally as a prodrug. The minimal toxicity of sulbactam sodium is due to its lack of activity against human cells.
